Gathering information to better understand the source one's symptoms
What to Expect
During the first therapy session, you and the clinician will discuss the history and nature of your symptoms. Based on this information, the clinician may ask to examine the following:

-posture
-gait mechanics
-food and fluid intake

For the purpose of assessing your pelvic health, the clinician may suggest a direct pelvic exam. In this case, the clinician will leave the private treatment room and allow the patient to disrobe only from the waist down. An examination gown is provided as a privacy drape.
The clinician will return and use gloves to examine the pelvic region externally and/or internally with lubrication as seems appropriate based on the symptoms discussed.

Patients are always welcome to bring a chaperone. Elements of therapy will only ever be conducted as within the patient's consent and comfort. The aforementioned exam can be paused, deferred, or discontinued at any time as well.

It would be best to arrive 15 minutes prior to an initial evaluation and about 5 minutes prior to any follow-up. Easily removable layers are best for clothing with an emphasis on exercise friendly attire and shoes.
-range or motion
-strength
-joint mobility
